AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate will grant ONE-Dyas licenses to bring the N05-A gas field in the North Sea into production.

The NO5-A platform, in line with the government’s small fields policy, will be the first in the North Sea run entirely on wind energy. It will be located in Dutch waters, around 20 km (12.4 mi) north of Borkum, Rottumerplaat and Schiermonnikoog, and roughly 1.5 km (0.9 mi) from the maritime median line and German waters.

ONE-Dyas, partners Hansa Hydrocarbons and EBN, aim to produce gas from both the N05-A field and others nearby in both the Dutch and German sectors.

The draft approval decision, including the design license for the installation of the pipeline and electricity cable, is currently out for consultation.
