NEW ORLEANS – Personnel remain evacuated from 299 production platforms and 11 non-dynamically positioned rigs in the Gulf of Mexico due to Hurricane Laura, according to the Bureau of Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).
In addition, all 16 dynamically positioned rigs have moved off location.
From 45 operator reports, BSEE estimates that about 84.3% of the current oil production and 60.94% of the natural gas production in the Gulf remains shut-in.
