Odfjell, A/S Norske Shell to P&A nine North Sea wells

Odfjell Drilling has agreed to a contract with A/S Norske Shell for the use of the drilling rig Deepsea Yantai to permanently plug and abandon nine wells at four different well locations across the Knarr and Gaupe fields.

HORDALAND, Norway — Odfjell Drilling announced, on behalf of CIMC OFFSHORE AS, that it has agreed to a contract with A/S Norske Shell for the use of the drilling rig Deepsea Yantai to permanently plug and abandon nine wells at four different well locations across the Knarr and Gaupe fields.

Planned commencement is scheduled for third-quarter/fourth-quarter 2023.

Yesterday Odfjell Drilling announced it agreed to a contract with OMV Norge AS for the use of thedrilling rig Deepsea Yantai to drill one firm well, Eirik, in PL 817 in the North Sea, plus one optional well in 2023 or 2024.
