Subsea 7 handling FEED for North Sea Krafla subsea installations

LUXEMBOURG – Equinor has awarded Subsea 7 a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for marine installations associated with the Krafla development in the Norwegian North Sea.

This is part of the multi-field North of Alvheim Krafla Area project.

Subsea 7’s findings will assist the technical definition of the proposed development prior to Equinor and its partners taking a final investment decision late this year.

Project management and engineering will take place in Subsea 7’s offices in Stavanger and Aberdeen, with offshore installation activities (pending FID) scheduled for 2024, 2025 and 2026.
