Hibiscus plans subsea tieback for North Sea Eagle discovery

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Anasuria Hibiscus UK (AHUK) has agreed to acquire an 85% interest from EnQuest in the Eagle discovery in the UK central North Sea.
Eagle is in production license 238, block 21/19a, 6.4 km (3.9 mi) from the Cook field and up to 15 km (9.3 mi) from various facilities connected to AHUK’s Anasuria FPSO.
The company sees potential for a subsea tieback.
EnQuest will retain a 15% stake in Eagle, with AHUK (as the new operator) carrying the company’s share of costs (around $7.5 million) through to first oil.
The deal should go through during 2Q, subject to regulatory and third-party approvals.
