KUALA LUMPUR, MalaysiaHibiscus Petroleum will pursue studies for two new potential subsea projects in the UK North Sea.

This follows ratification by Britain’s Oil and Gas Authority of two license agreements covering three licenses offered to Anasuria Hibiscus UK (AHUK) under the 32nd Offshore Licensing Round.

An agreement for a third offer covering license P2532 (block 21/19c and block 21/20c), contiguous to the Cook field, is in the process of being fully executed.

The licenses run from four years from Dec. 1, 2020 (field development plan phase) with a production phase of up to 18 years on completion of the FDP phase.

License P2535 (block 21/24d) contains the Teal West discovery, adjacent to the Teal field and around 4 km (2.5 mi) from the Teal manifold connected to the Anasuria Cluster. AHUK will operate with a 70% interest, in partnership with Zennor Petroleum (30%).

Teal West will likely be tied back to the Anasuria FPSO, with the FDP due to be submitted to the OGA by end 2022.

License P2518 (block 15/17a) is 8 km (5 mi) from the Marigold field. It contains part of the Kildrummy discovery, a minor part of the Beaumaris discovery, and the Udny prospect.

Hibiscus views Kildrummy as a prospective tieback to infrastructure to be implemented as part of its Marigold development. It will submit a technical update to the OGA by December 2022, pursuant to conduct seismic interpretation work.
