NIOC starts up South Pars 11 gas offshore Iran

TEHRAN, Iran — National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has produced first gas from South Pars Phase 11 development in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

Produced gas has already passed through the offshore export pipeline to an onshore treatment center, with four wells currently onstream.

The facilities should deliver 56 MMcm/d at peak, and NIOC has set aside a further $20 billion for boosting pressure in the South Pars Field.
