TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) expects to resume production shortly from the Salman field in the Persian Gulf.
This follows repairs to the damaged 30-in. pipeline transporting the gas to Siri and Assaluyeh islands, an IOOC official told news service Shana.
The damage was detected last November following a pressure drop in the pipeline.
According to the spokesman, repairs were complicated due to the water depth and unfavorable sea conditions.
