DNO gains approval to re-enter the North Sea

OSLO, Norway – DNO ASA has completed the acquisition of Origo Exploration Holding, a privately-owned oil and gas exploration company focused on Norway and the UK.

This follows approvals from the regulatory authorities in both nations.

Origo, renamed DNO Norge AS, is now a wholly-owned, Stavanger-based subsidiary of DNO.

The acquisition marks DNO’s return to the North Sea after it previously decided to focus on projects in theMiddle East and North Africa. It now has stakes in 11 exploration and appraisal licenses, seven offshore Norway and four in UK waters.
