OSLO, Norway – Production from the Bukha and West Bukha fields in block 8 offshore Oman averaged 4,918 boe/d during 1Q, according to operator DNO International, with output split equally between oil and gas.
The West Bukha-5B oil well, which was drilled to a depth of 4,500 m (14,764 ft) and then completed, is currently undergoing unloading and testing.
Reinstatement of the Bukha-1 gas well should take place in August.
DNO continues planning for its next exploration and appraisal program offshore Tunisia, starting with 3D seismic activity ahead of a well on the Sfax Offshore exploration permit.
