RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has initiated the process of transfer of rights of oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production in various shallow-water fields in the states of Ceará and Sergipe.
On offer are nine concessions which produced on average 13,000 boe/d last year, around 0.5% of the company’s total production.
The fields, which are grouped in production complexes, with integrated installations, are:
State | Complex | Concession |
SE | Sergipe | Caioba, Camorim, Dourado, Guaricema e Tatuí |
CE | Ceará | Curimã, Espada, Atum e Xaréu |
The process will be conducted in a competitive manner and Petrobras will assess the terms and conditions of the received proposals.
The sale of these assets is part of Petrobras’ divestment strategy, whose goals and objectives are defined in the 2015-19 Business and Management Plan. In line with market practices, estimates of the amounts involved are considered to constitute strategic information and will therefore not be disclosed before the sale transaction is concluded.
