TEL AVIV, Israel – Delek Group says the Petroleum Commissioner at Israel’s Ministry of Infrastructures, Energy and Water has decided not to recognize the Dolphin natural gas field in the offshore license 351/Hanna area as a discovery.

The license partners, however, are of the opinion that they have found a discovery that entitles them to receipt of a lease in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Law.

Accordingly, they intend to review available legal options, including filing an appeal on the Commissioner’s decision.

Partners in license 351/Hanna are:

  • Noble Energy Mediterranean 39.66%
  • Avner Oil Exploration 22.67%
  • Delek Drilling 22.67%
  • Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) 15.00%.
