Talon continuing North Sea farm-out process

WEST PERTH, Australia – Talon Petroleum Ltd. is progressing farm-out talks on the Skymoos, Rocket, and Vantage prospects in the UK central North Sea, with various new entrants joining discussions in recent weeks.

However, timing of potential negotiations remains fluid as interested parties attempt to complete review and approval processes under changed workplace conditions, due to the impact of COVID-19.

Due to these timing issues, Talon has applied to Britain’s Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) for work phase extensions to its Rocket and Skymoos licenses, to help it sustain the farm-out process.

In addition, the company has submitted multiple applications for new exploration licenses close to the prospects under the OGA’s 32nd Seaward Licensing Round.
