Deadline approaching for offshore Gambia licenses

MELBOURNE, Australia – FAR and its partners in blocks A2 and A5 offshore The Gambia must decide by Aug. 10 whether to take up an option of a two-year extension of the licenses.

Work continues on subsurface studies, FAR said, with a view to drill a well in 2020.

The company is also part of a joint venture off neighboring Guinea-Bissau, where drilling is expected to start during the first half of next year.
