LAGOS, Nigeria – Lekoil Exploration & Production Namibia has entered a strategic alliance agreement with NAMCOR E&P, a subsidiary of Namibian state oil company NAMCOR.
The two companies plan to apply their technical capabilities to jointly assess and acquire low-risk, fast-track oil and gas production interests across Africa.
Lekoil Namibia previously had a 77.5% share of two Namibian offshore exploration blocks (2514A and 2514B). NAMCOR E&P is seeking to invest in well-managed oil producing assets in politically stable jurisdictions.
