Gas compressor down at North Sea Triton FPSO

Production from the Triton FPSO in the central UK North Sea has been interrupted following an issue with the gas compressor.

Operator Dana Petroleum is working to identify and implement the required repairs, said partner Serica Energy.

A potential dry gas seal failure was identified last weekend in the ‘A’ gas compressor. Dana is looking to mitigate the impact by bringing a second compressor into service.

Production from Serica’s GE-05 well on the Gannet field should begin following resumed service on the FPSO.
