DSME, ABS to develop conceptual FLNG design

ABS has signed an agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co. to support safety and apply class guidance to a conceptual floating liquefied natural gas unit.

HOUSTONABS has signed an agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co. (DSME) to support safety and apply class guidance to a conceptual floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit. 

The project is planned to begin at the end of the month and last for 12 months. ABS will review the conceptual design to the applicable class requirements and provide guidance to support safety during development.
