Mime yields further oil

STAVANGER, Norway --Talisman Energy has found more oil with its latest well on the Mime field in the Norwegian North Sea.
The jack-upMaersk Giant drilled appraisal well 7/11-11 S in 80 m of water, to a subsurface depth of 4,400 m (14,435-ft). It encountered oil in late Jurassic sandstone with low permeability.
Talisman and its partner DONG will now evaluate remaining oil potential in the production license, 301. After plugging and abandoning this well, the rig will relocate to Talisman's Rev field for well completion duties.
