Australia's Santos Ltd. says it plans to produce oil from Indonesia's Oyong field in 2Q 2007 and to produce gas beginning 2Q 2008.

ADELAIDE, Australia -- Australia's Santos Ltd. says it plans to produce oil from Indonesia's Oyong field in 2Q 2007 and to produce gas beginning 2Q 2008.
According to Santos, the oil field project was 95% complete at the end of 4Q 2006. All the development drilling is complete and the FPSO is on location. A production barge has been contracted and is undergoing modifications with the aim to meet the first oil target.
The company says 80% of the front-end engineering and design (FEED) work on the onshore processing facilities was been completed at the end of last year. FEED work on the pipeline continues.
