CALGARY, Canada --Bow Valley Energy says production is imminent from the Talisman-operated Blane field in the UK North Sea.

The company is also a partner in two other development projects. It says the FPSO under construction for Venture's Chestnut field in the central North Sea should be installed by year-end. Another FPSO, on the Nexen-operated Ettrick field, should produce first oil in mid-2008.

Bow Valley expects to participate shortly in another exploratory well in the Ettrick area, testing a Jurassic prospect. In November, the company should spud its first well as operator on a Jurassic Brae reservoir sands prospect in UK block 9/26b. It also aims to drill a third exploratory well in block 16/27a early next year.
