North Sea Gaupe tieback onstream

Production has started from the Gaupe field in the southern Norwegian North Sea, according to partner Lundin Petroleum.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Production has started from the Gaupe field in the southern Norwegian North Sea, according to partner Lundin Petroleum.

Gaupe is in license PL292, 225 km (140 mi) offshore Norway and close to the median line with the UK sector.

Operator BG Group has asubsea tieback to its Armada production complex in the UK central North Sea.

Lundin estimates Gaupe’s recoverable reserves at 31 MMboe, and expects net peak production of 6,000 boe/d.
