    RWE Dea to produce Nile Delta gas

    RWE Dea has signed a long-term agreement with Egyptian General Petroleum Corp. and Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. to supply natural gas to the Egyptian market with the first phase of development of gas fields discovered in the offshore concession North Idku in the Nile Delta.

    HAMBURG, Germany –RWE Dea has signed a long-term agreement with Egyptian General Petroleum Corp. and Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. to supply natural gas to the Egyptian market with the first phase of development of gas fields discovered in the offshore concession North Idku in the Nile Delta.

    Following the recent acquisition of the 30% stake of Perenco Eastern Mediterranean Ltd., RWE Dea now holds 100% of the concession North Idku.

    Production is scheduled to begin in 2010.
