DALLAS – Flowserve (NYSE: FLS) is to supply a multi-phase pump package for ONGC’s HZ platform serving the Mumbai High oil field offshore western India. It will be used to maintain production in declining wells.
Hyderabad-based SEW Infrastructure contracted the API 676-compliant, MP1-390 double-suction, non-contacting twin-screw, multi-phase pump. According to Flowserve, the system is designed to accommodate rapid changes in well fluid viscosities, water cuts and gas volume fractions (GVF), which can vary over the life of the oil field.
The package includes an electric motor and a variable-frequency drive, in-and-out piping, strainer and valves, all mounted on the deck in a two-tier skid arrangement designed to minimize the footprint on the platform.
