Statoil and partners have awarded Halliburton a $33.7 million contract to cover drilling, well fluids, and cementing services for the Kristin development, including options.
The job runs initially for two years until 2004, possibly extending to 2006. It also covers pumping and personnel services. Drilling work is expected to run from 2003 to 2006.
Kristin will be produced through 12 subsea wells tied back to a floating platform to come onstream in 2005. The field is due to deliver about 35 bcm of gas to 2016. Estimated output of condensate and natural gas liquids over the same period will be 220 MMbbl and 8.5 MMtons respectively.
