More wells coming onstream at South Pars Phase 12

Pars Oil and Gas Co. expects gas production from the Phase 12 development of the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf to increase to 2.4 bcm/d (85 bcf/d) before the winter season starts.

TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC) expects gas production from the Phase 12 development of the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf to increase to 2.4 bcm/d (85 bcf/d) before the winter season starts.

Phase 12 was launched officially in March.

POGC official Rasoul Falahnejad told news service Shana that three more wells currently drilling at platform 12B will add 7 MMcm/d (247 MMcf/d) to production.

Petropars awarded POGC Phase 12 in July 2005 under a buyback deal.
