CNOOC produces first oil from Luda 6-2 offshore China

HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production head of schedule from the Luda 6-2 oilfield offshore eastern China.

The development is in the Liaodong Bay area of the Bohai Sea, in average water depths of about 30 meters. Luda 6-2’s newly constructed platform is connected to processing facilities serving the Suizhong 36-1 oilfield.

CNOOC plans to drill 38 development wells, comprising 29 producers, eight water injectors, and one development/appraisal well, with peak output of around 10,000 b/d of crude expected in 2022.
