OSLO, NorwayGolar LNG plans to pursue solutions with Perenco and SNH on proving new reserves in order to raise production through the FLNG vessel Hilli Episeyo, operating offshore Cameroon.

A conditional agreement with Perenco has been reached for a drilling campaign to start during the current quarter, allowing additional throughput to begin in 2022.

With Brent oil prices recently surpassing $60, the current contract terms would likely deliver higher Brent-linked operating cashflow.

As for conversion of the FLNG Gimi in Singapore for BP’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal, the program remains on schedule and on budget.

Golar LNG plans to work on development opportunities for other new FLNG projects using Mk I conversion and Mk III newbuild technologies, and plans to assess smaller-capacity solutions based on modular production technology.

These offer the prospect of shorter lead times to first production.
