LEATHERHEAD, UK – Wintershall Dea has signed a long-term agreement with Eigen concerning services and software licenses for the latter’s Ingenuity platform and mobile apps.

The German operator will now progress development and roll-out of its ‘Production Technology Work Bench’, with Eigen’s cloud-based Ingenuity platform as the application layer and front-end, connected via Cognite’s CDF to the Wintershall Dea data hub.

It follows a successful pilot on the Brage platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

According to Eigen, by integrating all relevant and contextualized data in a single front-end, Wintershall Dea can now provide its production teams with a standardized work bench.

Einar Midtun, digital transformation lead at Wintershall Dea Norway, said: “Providing live data with visualization and contextualization, the production technology workbench offers extensive operational data integration opportunities.”

The company will invest in the development of new functionality and data connectors in the Eigen platform.
