LONDON – Digitalization software provider Eigen has started developing a new real-time context that will be added to the barrier status panel functionality at Lundin Energy Norway’s Edvard Grieg platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

This will be designed to provide instant visibility of the impact of real-time signals, such as inhibits or device alerts, on the status of safety barriers. These low level signals can provide advance warning of problems.

Development is due to finish in August.

The upgrade will further integrate platform data, Eigen added, presented in a format straightforward to understand by showing the status from multiple different perspectives of direct relevance to the personnel examining it.

This upgrade is the latest for the Eigen Ingenuity Platform, said to be central to Lundin Norway’s operations group digitalization process.
