    First oil flows from Tortue Phase 2 offshore Gabon

    BW Energy has produced first oil from the Tortue Phase 2 field development in the Dussafu Marin permit, offshore Gabon.

    OSLO, Norway – BW Energy has produced first oil from the Tortue Phase 2 field development in the Dussafu Marin permit, offshore Gabon.

    According to partner Panoro Energy, the Gamba well DTM-5H came onstream ahead of schedule, while production from the second well, DTM-4H, should follow shortly.

    Phase 2 involves the drilling and tieback of four producer wells to the FPSO BW Adolo.

    The second cluster of wells is currently being drilled and due to start up by June.
