    Production picking up at Bertam offshore Malaysia

    Production from International Petroleum Corp.’s Bertam field off Peninsular Malaysia averaged 5,400 b/d in 4Q 2019, 5% higher than in the previous quarter.

    VANCOUVER, Canada – Production from International Petroleum Corp.’s Bertam field off Peninsular Malaysia averaged 5,400 b/d in 4Q 2019, 5% higher than in the previous quarter.

    The increase followed a three-well infill drilling program. The company has since identified two further infill drilling locations which it has booked as contingent resources in the A-15/A-20 Bertam field area.

    This year it plans further technical work on these locations ahead of potential drilling in 2021.
