LONDONEnQuest’s production from its UK northern North Sea fields soared by 41% last year to 27,237 boe/d.

This was due to the company taking additional equity interest in the Magnus field in the East Shetland basin, with production efficiency of more than 80%.

On the downside there were problems with water injection pump failures and gas lift interruptions at the company’s Don fields.

In the UK central North Sea, the company raised its output by 19% to 7,544 boe/d helped by increased volumes from Scolty/Crathes in the Greater Kittiwake Area following completion of the pipeline replacement.

Over the year ahead EnQuest is targeting total net production of 61,000-68,000 boe/d. Its forward plans include a two-well drilling program on the Kraken field’s Western Flank, due to start in 2Q.

Economic production at Alma/Galia in the central UK sector looks set to cease around the middle of 2020, with the FPSO moving off-station soon afterward.
