HOUSTONNoble Energy has issued an update on the Leviathan gas field offshore Israel, which started production at the end of last year.

All four wells and both subsea flowlines are currently fully operational, with well productivities in line with or better than expectations.

Venting operations associated with start-up were successful, with emissions levels below permitted limits.

Gas sales to Jordan began on Jan. 1, and exports to Egypt were due to start flowing yesterday via the EMG pipeline. Interconnections between the Israeli, Jordanian, and Egyptian pipeline networks are now fully operational.

Combined gross sales from the Leviathan and nearby Tamar fields have averaged 1.5 bcf/d so far this month.
