SINGAPORE – Jadestone Energy is gearing up for a subsea overhaul/drilling campaign at the Montara production complex offshore northwest Australia during 2Q and 3Q.

The program includes replacing the subsea umbilical from the Skua and Swift/Swallow wells to the FPSO, and riser-less light well intervention to restore gas lift to the Skua-11 and Swift-2 wells, perforate additional sands in Swallow-1, and produce new heel volumes in Skua-11.

Overall Jadestone is targeting 3,200 b/d from the campaign, including continued production from Swift-2 and Skua-11, in addition to the new volumes.

The company expects to spud its first infill well (H6) at the Montara field late this year (pending rig availability) from a slot on the wellhead platform, with a view to recovering 1.8 MMbbl of unswept oil.

It also plans to commission a new 3D seismic survey during H2, to assist reservoir imaging, more accurately target future infill wells, and assess further exploration step-out potential.

Current production from the three-field Montara project is 10.3 MMb/d.

Offshore southwest Vietnam, the company is aiming for sanction of the Nam Du and U Minh gas field developments at a rate of 80 MMcf/d, with a minimum plateau period of 55 months. Work continues on facilities front-end engineering and design, technical and environmental studies, tendering for major contracts, and negotiating the remaining commercial terms prior to formal development sanction.

Jadestone’s working interest will increase to 100%, following registration of Petrovietnam’s relinquishment of its 30% stake in block 46/07 and block 51.
