ZUG, SwitzerlandNord Stream AG says it plans a nine-day shutdown next week of the twin Nord Stream gas pipeline system in the Baltic Sea for annual maintenance.

Full capacity of the pipeline system is expected to be restored by Aug. 19, 2016, when additional planned work on the Russian section is concluded.

The program will include maintenance of mechanical components and testing of the automation system.

The schedule has been agreed and coordinated withNord Stream’s upstream and downstream pipeline partners in advance, with the temporary interruption of supplies factored into the nominations of gas to be transported via the system to downstream European buyers.
