ZUG, Switzerland – Nord Stream AG is performing a load test on both lines of the Nord Stream gas transportation system in the Baltic Sea.

The industry-standard tests, which started on Nov. 5, are designed to confirm the reliability of the pipelines. The process is expected to last about one month.

During the program, gas transportation parameters will fluctuate in different modes. Since startup ofNord Stream’s first trunkline in November 2011, the system has continually transported to various utilities in Europe all gas nominated and supplied by Gazprom Export.
