ATHENS, GreeceTechnipFMC has subcontracted Corinth Pipeworks to fabricate 27 km of high-frequency welded (HFW) steel pipes for Aker BP’s Utsira High project in the central Norwegian North Sea.

This covers two satellite field developments: Symra, a subsea tieback to the Ivar Aasen platform, and Solveig Phase 2 to the Edvard Grieg platform. 

The HFW pipes will be manufactured at Corinth Pipeworks’ facilities in Thisvi, Greece, with the scope of supply including application of an external three-layer polypropylene coating.
