The Oil & Gas industry is increasingly looking to move toward a data-driven and technology-focused way of working. Although in principle, this may sound relatively straightforward, the reality is that things have become a lot more complicated since many first deployed their real-time information technologies. Organizations now face many challenges of scale and performance, data quality, data silos, software integration, and cybersecurity.   Discussions of digital operations often focus on industrial data lakes, cloud-based IIoT platforms, digital twins, and advanced predictive analysis while sidestepping the critical issue of how to best manage enterprise-scale industrial data, which can have a significant impact on the value and costs of any digital program.

This OSIsoft webinar will provide an overview of good data management strategies, discuss why such topics are important for modern oil and gas, and give practical examples of how tangible improvements can be quickly and easily implemented using today's modern real-time data technology.  Throughout the webinar examples of best practices will be provided from BP, ENI, Petronas, and others.
