(Aberdeen) Canadian independent Antrim Energy is to acquire a 75% working interest from Eni in UK Central North Sea block 21/28a. The acreage contains the undeveloped Dandy and Fyne oilfields, which were delineated by eight wells drilled between 1971 and 1998, of which three were successfully production tested.

Eni attempted recently to screen development options, based on an FPSO. The two field are located around 10-km from – and on trend with – Oilexco's Tay formation oilfield discovery, Sheryl. The latter is also just south of the Saxon and Pict oil fields in the same formation. Antrim believes Fyne and Dandy have similar oil in-place to Pict.
