Pemex contracts Dragados Offshore for living quarter platform

PEP has awarded Dragados Offshore SA and its subsidiary Dragados Offshore de Mexico SA the project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, load-out, sea-fastening, transportation, installation, hook-up, testing, commissioning, and start-up of the living quarter platform HA-LT -01.

VERACRUZ, Mexico -- PEP has awarded Dragados Offshore SA and its subsidiary Dragados Offshore de Mexico SA the project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, load-out, sea-fastening, transportation, installation, hook-up, testing, commissioning, and start-up of the living quarter platform HA-LT -01. The platform will be installed in the Bay of Campeche, Gulf of Mexico.

The work will take place at Dragados Offshore's yard in Tampico, Mexico.

The project will be executed over two years with a scope that covers the topsides, including the living quarter module, a helicopter deck, and two equipment decks, the jacket and piles, and the platform interconnection bridge.

The installation of the living quarter platform will be carried out by float-over, which will be the first module to be installed by this method in the Gulf of Mexico, the company says.
