The marine environment is no different, especially in complex offshore environments where operations around Oil and Gas production platforms, seismic surveys, diving operations and normal commercial logistics can be simultaneously occurring. This part of the ocean economy is looking to technology and the digital transformation wave to revolutionize the way operations are conducted and address the needs of a more efficient and safe operating theatre.
In developing ION’s Marlin software we looked to address these issues and as a result, there was a requirement to link both temporal and spatial information intelligently and in such a way that it could replay and interrogate all the information captured, plus forward predict and optimise operational requirements. Marlin is quickly becoming the air traffic solution of choice for complex maritime operations.
