OSLO, Norway — Velesto Drilling has contracted ABL to perform a marine warranty survey for its rig moves offshore Malaysia.
In addition, ABL will support Velesto rig moves to adjacent countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia or Thailand, over a one-year period.
Its rig-moving surveyors in Malaysia, operating from ABL’s base in Kuala Lumpur, should oversee 14 to 16 rig moves offshore Malaysia for Velesto’s six-rig fleet during the contract term. They will provide all associated technical studies including leg penetration assessment, site specific assessment, leg punch-through assessment and leg extraction studies.
Local ABL offices will provide support for programs in adjacent countries.
