PGS to process Hyperdynamics 3D data

Hyperdynamics Corp. has contracted PGS Geophysical to process data from a 3D seismic survey that is to be conducted offshore Republic of Guinea.

HOUSTON – Hyperdynamics Corp. has contracted PGS Geophysical to process data from a 3D seismic survey that is to be conducted offshore Republic of Guinea. The 3,675 sq km (1,419 sq mi) survey aims to detail prospects identified with 2D data.

The processing is expected to cost $2.5 million to bring the total survey acquisition and processing tab to $19.3 million.

“The 3D survey represents a major step forward towards choosing a location for the drilling of our initial exploration well in late 2011,” says Ray Leonard, president and CEO of Hyperdynamics.
