TGS-Nopec Geophysical will charter theM/V Polar Search 3D seismic acquisition vessel from Polar Holding for 18 months. Multiwave Geophysical Company of Bergen, Norway, will manage the seismic crewing and operations of the vessel.
Following a substantial upgrade, the M/V Polar Search will begin operations for TGS-Nopec in July. Upon deployment, the M/V Polar Search will primarily expand TGS-Nopec's existing marketed library of 66,000 sq km of non-exclusive 3D seismic in the Gulf of Mexico.
