OSLO, Norway — PGS has industry prefunding for a new seismic survey in the Norwegian Sea that will be acquired by a Ramform Titan-class vessel over two seasons starting next summer.
The acquisition should be completed the following summer.
In 2022 the company acquired the first phase of NWS GeoStreamer X.
The survey will deliver about 12,500 sq km of GeoStreamer data in a second azimuth over existing GeoStreamer multiclient data in the region, resulting in a dual azimuth product (GeoStreamer X).
According to President and CEO Rune Olav Pedersen, the combination of multi-sensor broadband fidelity and dual azimuth illumination will provide higher quality data for exploration purposes.
