Sercel develops shallow-water nodal seismic system

PARIS – Sercel, in partnership with BGP, has developed GPR300, a nodal seismic acquisition solution for deployment in shallow waters down to 300 m (984 ft).
The system, said to be compact and lightweight, features Sercel’s QuietSeis broadband digital sensor technology, designed to provide quiet performance.
According to the company, GPR300’s ability to record high-fidelity low-frequency signal is also suited to seismic imaging with full-waveform inversion. The omni-tilt sensor package corrects for node inclination on the seabed, to support accurate 3C recording.
