Magseis awarded further 4D OBN survey in the Gulf of Mexico

A repeat unnamed customer has contracted Magseis Fairfield for a new deepwater 4D ocean bottom node monitor survey in the US Gulf of Mexico.

OSLO, Norway and HOUSTON – A repeat unnamed customer has contracted Magseis Fairfield for a new deepwater 4D ocean bottom node (OBN) monitor survey in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The survey will be conducted with the company’s ZXPLR technology, currently in use for ongoing projects in the same geographical area. Start-up is expected in mid-2Q 2021, and the project will run for about two months.
