OSLO, NorwayPGS has completed the final phase of its Santos Vision multi-client seismic data revitalization project in the Santos basin offshore Brazil.

The latest data covers areas set to be offered in the Brazil Transfer of Rights Round later this year, including the Atapu and Sepia fields.

The company has now reprocessed close to 49,000 sq km (18,919 sq mi) of seismic data from 13 separate surveys into a single, seamless broadband product, providing what it claims is the basin’s most comprehensive and geologically sound dataset.

Santos Vision is designed to help oil and gas companies assess opportunities, derive analogs, plan wells, and reduce exploration risk.

Other fields covered include Lula, Sururu, Berbigao, and south Gato do Mato.
