LEIDSCHENDAM, the NetherlandsONGC has awarded its fourth successive three-year contract to Fugro for integrated survey services offshore India.

The program covers infield developments close to the east and west coasts, and involves pipeline route engineering and rig site surveys using multibeam bathymetric, shallow seismic profiling, and magnetometry, as well as rig positioning, current profile measurements and wellhead searches.

The Fugro Mapper, a geophysical survey vessel, will conduct the surveys in water depths of up to 100 m (328 ft). ONGC will use the seabed/subsea geo-data results to develop offshore infrastructure.
