Fugro to support offshore India asset inspections

Seamec has awarded Fugro a three-year inspection, repair and maintenance contract to support a facilities management project for ONGC offshore western India.

LEIDSCHENDAM, the NetherlandsSeamec has awarded Fugro a three-year inspection, repair and maintenance contract to support a facilities management project for ONGC offshore western India.

Fugro will provide Seamec with work class ROVs over the contract period, with the option of a two-year extension.

The project involves inspection, repair and maintenance of ONGC Mumbai’s processing and wellhead platforms, risers, subsea pipelines, pipeline end manifolds, single buoy moorings and single point moorings.

Fugro’s ROVs services will support activities such as marine growth removal, cathodic protection, and thickness measurements of jacket structures and subsea pipelines.

The ROVs are equipped with specialist tooling operable by local personnel in water depths from 10-150 m (33-492 ft).
